Where's the hare? Thread doodling a negative shape

Still playing about with doodles on a bit of unbleached calico. This little fellow started to emerge as a negative shape.

He pricked up his ears -
and sat stock still
Deep in the forest,
beneath the dark hill.

I used some of my precious Valdani subtly variegated threads. What a joy to stitch with.

This is the actual size, shown against my favourite, bunny scissors!

He's rather lovely, sitting quiet and still as he is.

Jules, he is so magical, and so tiny! I adore Valdani variegated floss too, such wonderful gradations of colour and love your scissor fob on those lovely bunny scissors!

I love the way he emerges from the foliage - beautifully done!

What a fun and creative idea! I'm imagining stitched illustrations with hide-n-seek figures represented by negative spaces in this way. Wonderful!
